Tips for a successful day:

  •  Enter through the ‘Tunnel Entrance’ from Brooklyn Highway and plan to arrive between 7:30-8:00am, to  allow time to park, register, and stop for continental breakfast in the main tent.

  •  We will assemble at 8:10am next to the SCCA trailer on the track (between M.I.S. turns 2 and 3), for the Corner Captain's meeting, immediately followed by the general volunteers safety briefing.

  •  Wear your worker whites, but foremost dress comfortably for the weather.

  •  Bring your normal personal equipment (hat, knife, whistle, gloves, rope, etc).

  •  Make sure that everyone stays sun-screened, hydrated, and energized.

  •  Rotate your volunteer workers to reduce boredom and fatigue.

  •  Volunteer workers should be given the opportunity to work all corner assignments, including phones and flags.

  •  Continue to teach and emphasize the correct basics of F&C (Phone Communications, Flagging, Safety, Hand Signals) throughout the day.

  •  Recruit new Corner Workers.

  •  Visit the teams in the paddock, if you get a chance.

  •  Have Fun!
